B I O G R A P H Y


                  Madla Hruza brings over ten years experience in film productions as a production designer. Her life as a artist and her international experience as a production designer and art director, illustrator and graphic designer combined with the ability to communicate, lead and negotiate, give her unique signature style. Her responsibilities include the contracting and supervision of the art department ( art director, set dresser, property department and production assistants) as well as the supervision of set construction. The films include feature films and television films with domestic, international and television distribution. The budget and time considerations vary from large to limited.

                  At the invitation of Milos Forman, professor of the film division of Columbia University, New York, Madla was a program guest lecturer on the subject of relationship between script and production design.

                  Among her work is the critically acclaimed HD24 film "Yellow Bird", directed by Academy award winner Faye Dunaway.  The cast included other Academy Award winners and nominee: Brenda Blethyn, James Coburn, Cynthia Watros and Faye Dunaway. Worked with a number of prominent actors as John Savage, Lance Henriksen, Amy Hathaway, Nick Mancuso, Gary Busey, Walter Koening, just to mention some.

                  Product Placement: Madla has a working relationship with over ten product placement companies, resulting in more that 100 product placements.

                  Production designer and art director, stage, costume, lighting design. For over fifty theater and opera productions. Worked in Norwegian National Theater and all major theatres in the country. Engaged by other European companies, including Renaissance Berlin Theatre - Germany , Poor Murder with Maximilian Schell, Malmo State Theater - Sweden, Peer Gynt, and Thalia Hamburg Theatre - Marie Fights with Angles - Germany - directed by Czech political dissident and playwright Pavel Kohout. Stage and Costume Design for the production - La Traviata has played for over twelve years at the Norwegian Opera House, and is also on tour in Scandinavia.

                   Her work has been accepted as part of the permanent collection of the Kingdom of Norway.  Ms. Hruza currently resides in Southern California.



EDUCATION:
Prague Academy of Art, majoring in stage and costume design for film, television, and theater. Interned at the Film Studios Barandov, Czechoslovakian Television, and the National Theater in Prague. Assistant for architect Josef Svoboda and Director Otomar Krejca at the Behind The Gate Theater and Cinoherni Drama Klub, Prague, Czech Republic
